What is the difference between GI sheet and MS sheet?
MS (mild steel) sheet is plain black steel used for fabrication and plate work. GI (galvanized iron) sheet has a zinc coating for rust resistance, used for roofing and outdoor work. We stock both.
How do I calculate sheet weight?
For gauge sheets, read the 8x4 sheet weight from the chart (or Kg/sq.ft x area). For MS plate, use the plate table below by thickness. Our free calculator does both.
